disney wedding planning!
So, our wedding planning session with Disney is coming up in a few weeks! It’s beginning to get quite exciting… :)
Of course the first thing we had to decide upon was where to have the ceremony. We decided on this very early on. (And by “very early on” I mean it’s where I’ve wanted to get married since I was seven.) Disney’s Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian!

It is situated on its own little island on Disney’s Seven Seas Lagoon with a picturesque view of Cinderella’s Castle across the water out the window behind the altar.

More recently, we’ve seen to other details. Like the venue for the little post-ceremony Disney reception. The Whitehall Room and Patio, an octagonal-shaped room also at Disney’s Grand Floridian, with an adjacent patio facing the lagoon as well.

And our little Disney cake!

Also, and this is the thing I’m probably most excited about (other than the whole actually getting married thing), we’re doing a photo session in the Magic Kingdom. Wedding pictures in front of Cinderella’s Castle!
It’s all so exciting!

the never-ending mountain of books …
So, in the final stages of unpacking post-move, I set my self to the task of unloading the many boxes and bags of books. After all were emptied and piled into stacks upon stacks across the guest room floor, the next step was organizing and filling the shelves…

I was quite proud of myself, fitting most of them onto my largest shelf. This was more than I’d accomplished the last time I organized books.
Then, incidentally, my mother just happened to be sorting through our childhood books at home this same week, and there were many already set to be sent away. Well, naturally, before casting them off to Goodwill, I needed to sift through them. I came home with two more boxes of books. Just what I needed. o.O
So, the filling of the second shelf began.

So proud I was, to have room left for a basket! Until I realized I still had my largest suitcase full of books as well.
Some “reading” books encroached into the realm of the Cookbooks:

And some found an unexpected home in wooden wine crates, turned on their sides and stacked into makeshift shelves…

Moral of the story?
I need a bigger house. With which to fill with more bookshelves. With which to fill with beautiful books.
Did I mention I still have the entire Wizard of Oz series to bring home from my parents’ house?
Hey look, we bought a house!
Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.
I will never forget career day at my school, it was a big turning point in my life! That’s when I decided I was going to marry a man who had one.
